When is an image a portrait? When is it a fashion photograph?
the difference between portait and fashion is that the image is either focused on the person in the shot (portrait) or the cloths,hair or make-up (fashion). Portait and fashion are very similar in techniques and the final product. In either shoots,the photographer would position both the lighting and the object (person). Usually fashion photos are extremely minipulated to produce the perfect image whereas portait uses very little but still has some touch-ups.
To what degree should an image be manipulated to go into a fashion magazine?
currently fashion magazines are using extreme manipulation in thier images, this is such an issue because of the affect it has on the viewer. fashion photgraphery 'a cheated sort of fantasy',
